This is the two-of-everything aisle, but cheap: bibs, burp cloths, spoons, and plates in quantities that match the twin laundry cycle rather than the registry photo. The honest counts are dozens of burp cloths, a stack of bibs, and duplicate utensils, because everything is always either in use or in the wash.

Almost all of it is fine used, most of it is fine as hand-me-downs, and none of it needs a brand name. The exceptions: anything silicone that goes in a mouth is cheap enough to buy new, and a second drying rack stops the sink from becoming an archaeology site. Save your money here for the categories that restrain or sleep a baby.
