Swings & Bouncers for twins

This is the category where twin parents most want two and most regret buying two up front. Soothing gear is baby-specific: one twin melts into the swing, the other treats it as an insult. Start with one swing or one bouncer, learn who likes what, then buy the second of whatever actually works, ideally used.

Bouncers are the safer twin bet (cheaper, smaller, easier to move between rooms), and two bouncers make solo bath-and-bedtime logistics possible. The safety line is bright: swings and bouncers are for awake, supervised babies. Sleep happens on flat surfaces, every time, even when the swing is the only thing that got them quiet.

Safety note: Never let twins sleep in a swing or bouncer; AAP guidance is flat sleep surfaces only.

Every verdict follows the same playbook. How we decide.
