From the desk
The Vista is the stroller most twin parents end up with eventually, even when they didn't start there. The first stroller is usually a budget choice or a hand-me-down. The Vista is the second stroller, the one that finally fits the car, the doorway, and the next four years of school runs.
What earns it the place is the modular system. One frame, two infant car seat adapters, one twin RumbleSeat configuration, one toddler-plus-baby tandem mode. We've watched twin parents take a single Vista from hospital pickup through preschool drop-off without buying a second stroller frame. The math works.
The trade-offs are real. It's heavy (about 30 lbs unloaded), it's expensive (around $1,200 fully kitted out for twins), and the fold is awkward in tight spaces. If you live in a fourth-floor walk-up, the Vista is the wrong stroller. If you live anywhere with elevator access and you'll keep the kids in strollers for years, it's the right one.
Why we say buy one
One Vista with the second seat configuration covers twin parents from newborn through toddler. We don't recommend two Vistas, and we don't recommend a Vista plus a single. One is enough.

The decision behind this pick
Do I need two strollers for twins?
No. One twin or convertible double stroller is the right answer. Two singles plus a hand doesn't work.
Why
A single twin stroller fits two babies and one parent. Two singles requires two parents. Impractical for solo outings.
When to buy
By month 6 unless you're using two infant car seats on a frame.
